Introduction about me and PGDAST

My name is Anoop Bose and I am from a small town located on the Indo-Pak border in Rajasthan. I did my undergraduate studies from Rajasthan and I did my MS in Finance from the United Kingdom. I have around 7 years of experience in the Fraud and Risk domain in various companies like Amazon and LinkedIn. I enrolled for the PGDAST program in January of 2019 and I am here to help my fellow participants as best as I can. 



What is PGDAST?

The PG Diploma in Applied Statistics Programme (PGDAST) has been developed to cater to the needs of working professionals and graduates aspiring for employment in industries (e.g., software, pharmaceutical industries), National Laboratories, R & D Organizations and Academic Institutions. The programme aims to provide the knowledge and hands-on training in selected areas of statistics and to acquaint the learners with the use of statistical tools in the analysis of industrial, social and business data.

Programme Objectives:
  • To provide learners with the core knowledge required for statistical applications.
  • To acquaint learners with the use of statistics in applied sciences and industries.
  • To provide hands-on training in selected areas of statistics.
  • To equip learners with the skills of using appropriate softwares for statistical applications in various fields.

General Information About the Course:
  • PGDAST is a 1 year "Post Graduate Diploma" course. 
  • The medium of instruction for this course is "English" only.
  • It can be completed in minimum 1 year and maximum 3 years.
  • Admission to this course is offered in both the January and July cycles.
  • It is a 32 credit program that consists of 9 courses.
